Relationships Education
New guidelines have been set for Relationships and Health Education in schools that must be followed.
It is now compulsory for every child to attend the PSHE sessions that consider respectful relationships, families, friendships and being safe. In addition, the children will learn about mental wellbeing, internet safety and harms, physical health and fitness, healthy eating, drugs and alcohol, health and prevention, basic first aid and changing adolescents’ bodies.
We would usually have a meeting at the school to explain and then discuss such changes but these are not normal times. Mrs Clement who leads PSHE (Personal, Social & Health Education) has instead put together a presentation which hopefully will be just as informative.
The presentation video below aims to clarify the changes to the curriculum and explain the reasoning behind the new curriculum.
